I had so much fun shooting with Matty and Brent a few weeks ago! We started at their new home. I loved capturing such cozy, sweet moments between the two of them in such a comfortable setting. It was FREEZING when we wandered outside, like I couldn't feel my hands even with gloves on, but somehow these two still managed to rock at being models and not even look cold! The love these two share is so beautiful and evident.
I had the best time (even if we froze!) and I am so excited to be a part of their wedding next month!

Back in May, I was able to take some super sweet engagement photos for a former college classmate, Meghan, and her fiance, Paul. During the shoot, we figured out that Paul went to highschool with my husband! Small world! I was super excited to work on their photos and then, of course, my computer basically bit the dust in the middle of editing their gallery. Thank goodness for back ups of files, but man it was a pain to start over. Meghan has been so patiently waiting on me to get these finished up with all of my technology troubles, and I'm so excited to finally share this sweet couple! Without further ado, check out this precious engaged couple! Okay but look at this gorgeous ring! Paul is interested in astronomy, so it was fun to incorporate my vintage map of the stars into their shoot. I had so much fun working with these two and can't wait to shoot their wedding this fall!
LOOK AT THESE CUTIES! I got to take photos of these precious friends back in February and I'm finally blogging about it a week before their wedding! We kept having to delay this shoot due to awful weather, but I was so glad we were finally able to squeeze it in. Enjoy a few photos of Tucker and Katelyn being adorable! Couples make my job super easy when they just never stop laughing with each other. I'm so happy to call these two my friends and SO EXCITED to celebrate them next weekend! Congrats, (soon to be) Mr. and Mrs. Price!
Hello, friends! These two lovebirds got married three weeks ago! In the middle of putting together their wedding gallery, I realized I never shared all of the engagements we took a month and a half ago! (As a personal note, in the past month and a half-ish, I've shot their wedding, been in one of my best friend's weddings, bought a house with my sweet husband, and begun renovating said house on top of it being one of the busiest seasons at my day job. SO I've been a little busy lately! But better late than never, right? :) ) We squeezed in some last-minute engagements because I wanted us to get to know each other a little better before the big day. And man, am I glad we were able to make it happen! We got some fantastic light and a few super sweet shots during our quick shoot. Be on the lookout for their wedding gallery in the next day or so! My cousin, Chris, is about two months older than me so I have known him literally my whole life. How cool is it that I get to photograph his wedding this fall?! I always love being able to take engagement photos for couples before their wedding because it really gives me a chance to see how they interact together in front of the camera and for them to see how I work behind it (like when I say, "okay, one more!" they can quickly learn that it's definitely a lie.) With about 600 miles between us, I really wasn't sure if it would be possible to find a time to shoot before their November wedding. Luckily, our time at the beach for family vacation overlapped by about 12 hours and we were able to sneak these in! Chris and Aubri were such troopers - they travelled for two days and then woke up with the sun to have their engagement shoot. These two are such a sweet couple. Happiness RADIATES from both of them when they are together! I promise you all of these smiles are genuine. These two never stop laughing with each other, and their love is so evident! I'm so happy for both of them and so excited for sweet Aubri to join our family!
I've known Kaylen for almost six (!!) years now after we were randomly assigned as suite mates our freshman year of college. That honestly doesn't feel like that long ago, and I feel like we were just babies back then – talking about boys and getting into all kinds of shenanigans, – so it's hard to believe that my husband is officiating her wedding and I'll be her matron of honor in a few months! I remember Kaylen talking about some soccer-playing guy named Jordan from back home that she was dating when we first met at school. I never met him and stopped hearing about him consistently after a while, but through the years his name continued to pop up occasionally. Now, these high school sweethearts are getting married, and I could not be happier about this perfect match. That's enough personal narrative from me now! Enjoy these photos of this beautiful couple! I was super excited when Kaylen agreed to do her engagement shoot in a local nursery (shoutout to Four Seasons Nursery in Jackson– check them out for all your plant and landscaping needs if you're in West Tennessee!) This shoot was an exciting new challenge for me. I tend to get comfortable in certain locations and branching out can be intimidating but is, of course, so necessary for growth! I had a ton of fun shooting in this new environment and am so happy with how everything turned out. How beautiful are these two? Seriously. We switched it up a bit and headed to a state park just down the road for a few more shots. I probably won't have a blog about their wedding since I'll be in it (which I'm even more excited about!) but I WILL have a blog with Kaylen's bridals, which will obviously be stunning. BUT you'll have to come back sometime after September to see that. ;) I'm so excited for these two and the lifetime of happiness ahead of them. Now excuse me while I go get sappy over pictures of Kaylen and I in college. Last weekend, I shot engagements with the cutest couple, Courtney and Cody. When Courtney and I started talking about her vision and I found out it involved their dog, Betty, I was GIDDY. When I found out she was a senior pup at 14 years, I may have cried. If you know anything about me, you know that I love animals. If you know anything else about me, you may know that I have a soft spot for senior dogs. You guys, LOOK AT HER. Okay, okay. As cute as she is, you're REALLY here to see Courtney and Cody. Luckily, they're super cute, too! So, about this shoot! When I started driving to the location where we were meeting, it started sprinkling. And then it started RAINING. And then I started kind of panicking, because these two actually live in Alabama. Not exactly super easy to reschedule if we got rained out- and rain wasn't even in the forecast that day! I texted Courtney, told her that I had some umbrellas in my car if it didn't stop raining and they were willing to brave it, and they were down! We were just gonna roll with whatever happened. But luckily, these umbrella shots are totally staged because it stopped raining the MINUTE they pulled into the parking lot. Perfection. These two nailed it. Seriously, just look at them. I can't help myself. Just a few more with sweet Betty. I kind of feel like every new shoot I do is my favorite shoot, but I truly loved this one. Courtney and Cody were so relaxed and willing to do whatever weird thing I asked them to do. Bringing their dog along was DEFINITELY worth some extra points in my book, too. I had a blast and I can't wait to shoot their wedding in November! |
